New Zealand School of Education was established in 2003 under the provisions of the Education Act 1989 as a private training establishment. The Institute is accredited by New Zealand Qualifications Authority which is the governing body of New Zealand training providers.

The NZSE management team, headed by two managing directors, are a balanced expert group that manage the day to day running of the school.

New Zealand School of Education is situated in New Lynn which is in West Auckland. The school campus is in close proximity to almost everything that a student would need: public library, restaurants, cafes, banks, post shops, sports gymnasium, a large shopping centre and bus and train terminals.
