The aim of the programme is to provide learners with the skills and knowledge to enter the workplace in a wide range of supervised general office administration and technology roles or to continue on to further study in the field of Business or relevant industry certifications.
Graduates of this programme will have general technical and administrative skills which can assist businesses to improve performance.

Learners may be recent school leavers with NCEA level 1 2 or 3 or those who have completed foundation qualifications and who now wish to specialise in business studies.

There are no general entry requirements for this programme, however learners enrolling are expected to hold either NCEA Level 1 or 2 or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.

English language entry requirements: Applicants must have sufficient competence in the English language to undertake the programme which is taught and assessed in English.

International students must hold a valid study visa to enrol in this programme.

60 credits with 4 papers

- New Zealand Certificate in Business (Introduction to Small Business) (Level 3) 
- New Zealand Certificate in Business (Introduction to Team Leadership) (Level 3)

Graduates of this qualification will have the skills and knowledge to work or gain employment, in a wide range of supervised general office administration roles in a variety of sectors.

These may include: receptionist, data entry operator, front line customer service roles, call or contact centre operators, secretary, office support workers.
