The aim of the programme is to provide Mandarin-speaking students with the pre-requisite skills and knowledge to become competent early childhood kaiako for both the early childhood sector and the community. Students may be entering the ECE industry with no previous experience; or already working within the sector. The programme will also meet the needs of home-based educators who may be required to complete a level 4 qualification. It also provides a pathway to further study in the early childhood sector.
