Fees-free is a scheme provided by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC). which allows you to get one year of tertiary study or two year’s training up to the value of $12,000.
All NZSE College Certificate, Diploma and Degree programmes are eligible for fees-free study. NZ Citizens, Residents and PR holders only.
To check if you meet the requirements, visit the Fees-free website and enter your National Student Number (NSN). If you don’t have an NSN, contact your Student Support Advisor.
The Youth Guarantee programme provides 16-19 year old's with an opportunity to participate in a range of courses free of charge. All of our Level 1-3 programmes are funded under the Youth Guarantee Programme.

Our Recruitment team can help you through the application process. Once your enrolment is confirmed, you don’t need to do anything else.
If you are enrolled in classes and are eligible for fees-free study, you will receive a statement showing that your fees have been paid, within the limits outlined on the Fees-free website.
If your eligibility check returns an 'Uncertain' status but you believe you meet the fees-free criteria, you can complete a Statutory Declaration Form on the Fees-free website. Your eligibility check will return a 'No' if you fail to meet the fees-free criteria. Your enrolment will progress as normal and you will receive an invoice. Your Student Support Advisor can help you through the completion of your enrolment.
