  • IELTS Academic score of 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 or other NZQA approved criteria

About the Programme
Get started with your career in addiction or disability support with this Level New Zealand Certificate in Health and Welbeing!

This programme is designed to provide graduates with the skills, knowledge and professional attributes required to provide person-centred support within the healthcare industry. In Semester 1, you learn general practices through common courses before specialising in Semester 2:

- Strand 1: Mental Health and Addiction Support OR
- Strand 2: Disability Support

Pathways
The skills gained within this programme are transferred into work practice, with a supervised work placement in a New Zealand mental health and addiction service or disability support service organisation.

Graduates will be able to take an entry level role in a mental health and addiction or disability support workplace depending on their specialisation. Such roles include addiction support worker, residential support worker, disability information consultant or disability case worker.

Completing this programme also allows you to work with a minimum pay of $28.50 an hour according to the New Zealand Government's pay parity agreement (starting from 1 July 2022).
