Youth Guarantee

Youth Guarantee funding provides prospective students aged 16-19 with an opportunity to participate in a range of courses free of charge.

All our Level 1-3 programmes are funded under the Government’s Youth Guarantee funding strategy. (Excluding NZ Certificate in Health and Well-being (Level 2), which is not a Youth Guarantee Funded programme)

Zero-Fees

Zero Fees programmes are eligible for free study for a limited time. To be eligible for Zero-Fees, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • A New Zealander or ordinarily resident in New Zealand; and
  • A recent secondary school leaver or;
  • Not a recent secondary school leaver but has undertaken less than half a year of tertiary study or training
  • Be enrolled into one of our Zero-Fees programmes

TTAF

The New Zealand Government has created the Targeted Training and Apprenticeships Fund (TTAF) to support domestic learners in undertaking vocational education and training without fees. The TTAF will cover all fees from 1 July 2020 until 31 December 2022.

ATC Military Prep
ATC Military Prep uses military-style training and techniques to prepare students for pathways into the workforce, possible careers in the New Zealand Defence Force, New Zealand Police or other related services. It can also help you get the credits needed to advance into further study or university. Each year new students flourish in the atmosphere of a military-styled education system, achieving academic, physical, and vocational heights they never thought were possible.

Our military-style gateway education courses cover units in literacy, numeracy, community skills, defence force studies, team building, fitness, communications and so much more.

NZ Certificate in Fitness and Recreation (Level 1)

This programme produces graduates who are fit, focused, disciplined and take pride in providing service to their community. This programme is for you if you aspire to a career within the Defence Forces or related trades, or in the field of sport and recreation.

Vocational Pathway Military - Social Community Services (Level 2)

This programme covers units in literacy, numeracy, community skills, defence force studies, team building, fitness, communications and more. Vocational pathways enable students to achieve NCEA Level 2 and develop pathways that progress to further studies or employment.

NZ Certificate in Business Administration and Technology (Level 3)

This programme will provide you with basic skills and knowledge needed to secure entry-level business roles. Graduates from this course go on to work in junior business and technology roles, general office administrating roles. Progress to NZ Certificate in Business and Administration Technology (Level 4).
